Bio

Massing is a creative bedroom pop/rock duo from Huntington, WV comprised of Heath Holley and Robb Coleman. In the live setting, Massing is a 5-piece band, adding Jeffrey McClelland on drums, Corey Zornes on lead guitar, and Anthony Pino on bass.

Massing has had an interesting career thus far, starting off as a low-stakes side project for Holley and Coleman to make music together while pursuing degrees in graphic design at the same college. As the local community seemed to take a liking to the sound, Massing pushed to release more music and play in new areas.

As we all know, the live music industry came to a screeching halt in 2020. Holley and Coleman adapted by launching “Massing’s Big Ass Song Sale,” where friends and fans could support the band by commissioning a fully custom song about anything they wanted -- which the duo would then write, record, and mix completely from scratch. Whether it was Christmas gifts, business jingles, theme songs, etc., this kept them busy and helped to stabilize lost income from what was planned to be a busy year of live shows. The story of the Song Sale appeared in local newspapers, local news TV, and was most notably featured on the nationally-renowned podcast “My Brother, My Brother, and Me,” eventually prompting the hosts to commission the band to create a theme song tailor-made to suit an upcoming gag episode. After about 9 months and over 150 songs (all of which are available to listen to via their social media or Bandcamp,) Massing cut off the Song Sale to begin writing their own music again and gear up for 2021.

The release of their newest EP “Nothin’ to Fear” is accompanied by an extensive ongoing rollout, including a music video for their single ‘Daisies’ as well as the introduction of unique merch items, such as a fully-playable original trading card game.
